Explain to me, how, how in the everlasting hell, is what happened in Texas Obama’s fault?
The spiral downward started over 8 yrs ago - when Dumbo & his crew cheated their way into the Presidency. The GOP set Spaceship America on a crash course w/ the Sun and people are blaming Obama?
I love how cons are so ready to put their “trust in” someone so completely - the whole cult of personality thing that makes true fascism so possible.
All you right wing bitches - let me make this clear - I don’t “trust” Obama to do shit other than try to serve his country as President of the United States of America as best he can - but he can’t do it alone. We are the government. So you nut jobs need to check your crazy ass attitudes at the flag and have some fucking respect for America.
I trust, as hard as it is when I remember how fucking stupid & hateful and straight up stupid people can be, that we the people - if properly motivated and engaged - can right the course of Spaceship America and keep it from burning itself up in the oblivion of unbearable fire.
And even though I feel ashamed of myself every time I remember Audre Lorde’s quote about not dismantling the master’s house w/ the master’s tools - sometimes I feel like conservatives would let go of their ignorance & hate much quicker if they were punched in the face more often. Like - maybe - their psychology is so jacked up that they CAN NOT begin to understand reality until it literally cracks their jaws apart…
When the GOP wins, they win w/ jackbooted thuggery - and I’m tired of watching the Democrats fold every time there is the tiniest push back from cons.
Dems; progressives; gay, immigrant, labor rights supporters: Act Up - Don’t Shut Up. Make more noise not less. Shake the walls. Rattle the windows. Get rude, get loud, get in the face of our law makers that are waffling or cowering to our opponents.
Our family & friends in the military shouldn’t be so overwrought and mired in mismanaged imperial war that they have to face the kind of tragedy that happened in Texas. That kind of pain doesn’t just happen overnight - no - it doesn’t even build up over 10 months - that kind of trauma takes years to build up before it is unleashed. Want to blame someone? Blame Bush & Cheney for trying to kill all that is beautiful and free in America - and doing it for 8 solid years with impunity.
